Having over 10 years of interactive design, I've been involved with almost every kind of personality in every type of situation. I've sat in board rooms with CEOs to help design their annual presentations, and I've worked with small business owners trying to visualize their first website.
In addition to working with a wide variety of people, I've also held a
cross-section of jobs in the web design field. I began my love of web design “way back” in 1996, teaching myself HTML. From then, I’ve held roles as HTML and CSS programmer, web designer and art director. I have spent the majority of my career at Apple Computer with my final position as Senior Design Manager. Currently I am the Creative Director at an Austin social media start up.
This large assortment of both client and job interaction has helped me excel as a manager and a director. I am able to see the unique sides of all aspects of creating online material. Mostly, I love to be a mentor to those I work with, helping them when they need it, while allowing them to learn and progress on their own.
Working in an environment where I am challenged and inspired is critical. I am especially interested in utilizing my director and management experience I've gained at Apple.
I believe everyone is creative. I believe that good design makes life better. I believe that If given your project, I will do my best to show you results you are happy with. I believe If you don’t have the right people or the right tools, you cannot do the right job. I believe that most things can be worked out over a cup of coffee and an honest conversation. Most importantly, I believe that I have fulfilled my role If we are both able to walk away from a project smiling. Please take a look at some of my work.
